San Diego Shell Club
Founded in 1961, the San Diego Shell Club is a non-profit organization organized and operated exclusively for educational and scientific purposes and more particularly to enjoy, promote the study, and further the conservation of Mollusca and associated marine life, by both lectures, club meetings, and field trips. Our membership is varied and includes beginning collectors, advanced amateurs and scientists, divers and underwater photographers, and dealers.

Pacific Conchological
The Long Beach Shell Club, and the Pacific Shell Club and the Conchological Club of Southern California merged March 2003 and became the Pacific Conchological Club. We meet at the LA County Natural History Museum still

SCAMIT( Southern California Association Marine Invironment Taxonomists) "SCAMIT was formed in 1982 with the goal of promoting the study of marine invertebrate taxonomy in southern California and developing a regionally standardized taxonomy.
